Our Story
Sycamore Creek Church was a new church plant from the Holt United Methodist Church in 2000. Our founding pastor was Pastor Barbara Flory. Our first worship service at Lansing Christian School was in November, 2000. We became chartered in February, 2005. Since then Sycamore Creek has expanded to become a multi-site church with several campuses and venues. Now, our S Lansing Campus gathers together at 1919 S Pennsylvania Avenue, worshiping and bringing the community together with everything from the South Lansing Art Festival, giving voice and stage to local artists and musicians, and partnering with Mt. Hope Steam School and Hope Central Urban Arts. We welcomed Pastor Michal White in August, 2022 as our S Lansing Campus pastor. Come and join us over coffee in the café, or out in the community working together and serving others.

Gas Giveaway – We gave over $500 away in Free Gas this Mardi Gras in the community. This is an amazing way to support the community and celebrate together.
Compassion Closet – Compassion Closet collects household items and distributes them to those in need in the greater Lansing community. We collect items through our church and community to support their ministry, and our Teen Fuel ministry has been at the forefront of helping collection and distribution of those items.
Local Mission – Mt. Hope STEAM School: Praying with Principal Danielle Bowdon and blessing our partnership with Mt. Hope STEAM School. We support teachers throughout the year, help put on events and student involvement as part of the community.
Worldwide Mission – We partner with Dr. Mir in Nicaragua to support medical care and food needs for over 50 children each day through your giving and support.
